Despite the fact that this butterflies wings look like an explosion of detail, the butterfly itself has a marvelous symmetry and duplicity. Perhaps that is what attracts us to butterflies. They are beautiful, harmless (unless you eat a few species...weirdo), and they completely mirror themselves. It's attractive! I kind of like this upside down...for some reason when I flip it around it looks wrong.
