Artist's Comments

I will give you hope when there is none left in the world.
An inspirational sunset beginning after a very rainy, gloomy day. I wish that tree to the left was not in the way but one must make sacrifices. 2009.

Well that tree on the left obstructs the horizon. :( My dad keeps joking around that he's going to pour poison at the base of some of the trees to open up his view a bit more. I can't decide if it's truly joking or has a bit of seriousness in it! :giggle: Thanks, Bethy-boo!

I really like the way the shot was taken. Everything seems to come together in this pre-sunset scene. The trees and the clouds definitely complement with the horizon and the body of water.

There is always hope for each bleak moment. Here, the weather was bad during the day, but the sun appeared in time for the sunset! Often times, we'd experience good things after going through bad days / experiences. :)

Regardless of the camera (single-use or digital) you happen to have in your hand, what matters is that you are able to capture the moment! Otherwise, you'd miss out on this very experience that can serve as a great photo 'reinforcement' to your memories!

I like the way you got just a hint of reflection on the water (of the Hudson?). Not enough to be a glare, and therefore, overpowering. But, enough to assert the presence of the river.
:icontimlasure:
That is stunning! I love how the sunlight exposes the details of the hills and the water.

Love the title too. You and I have been thinking along the same lines the past day or so :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it so much, I wish that some of those trees weren't there. I was hanging over the side of a porch to try and get most of the trees out of the frame. :shakefist:

Thanks. That's one of the reasons I decided to submit this. That and because I sport a bruise on my side after hanging over the side of a railing to get this. :XD:
